Aminé

Aminé – Good For You LP

Portland’s Aminé blew up last year off his hit track ‘Caroline’ which was one of 2016’s biggest rap songs. Based on his success from ‘Caroline’ Aminé was catapulted into the forefront of mainstream Rap and Hip Hop.

Now on to my opinion on his album. After listening to his album I am pretty disappointed by the whole album to be honest. The whole album sounds very commercialized and forced, almost like he had no say in the creative direction. The sole reason why Aminé’s ‘Caroline’ blew up was because it sounded fresh and different. There are still a couple of descent tracks on the album but for the most part it’s not worth the listen. Hopefully this is just Aminé’s ‘Thank Me Later’ and his sophomore album is more in line with the quality of a ‘Take Care’.

Below are the tracks that I liked (excluding previously posted Caroline and Blinds):

Amine – Sundays

Amine – Yellow (Ft. Nelly)

Amine – Spice Girl
