I honestly thought I would never see another A Tribe Called Quest album come out in my lifetime. When their last album came out I was only 7 years old and was just starting to read never mind listen to Hip Hop.  It’s been 18 years since A Tribe Called Quest released their last album ‘The Love Movement‘. This album contained a bunch of my favourite ATCQ tracks like:

Today A Tribe Called Quest released their new album titled ‘We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service LP‘ and we are honestly still trying to digest it. This album is way more complicated sonically than most listeners these days are used to in today’s Rap genre. Similar to another complicated album Kendrick Lamar’s ‘To Pimp a Buttefly’ this album uses a lot of live instruments which makes for a unique sound. So far these are my favourites off the album but they will most likely change after a couple more listens.
