Toro Y Moi, continues to be one of the realest artists in terms of creativity and independence.  It seems from an outsiders perspective, that he has full creative control over his music, which in todays music industry is a rarity.

He also goes by the alias Les Sins when he makes Electronic/House inspired music. His reasoning for the name change is explained in the following quote from him” Les Sins was just another way to make weirder music without having to feel I’m alienating Toro y Moi [fans]. So it’s kind of nice to do whatever kind of song I want to do without having to worry about it being accessible.“”.  We can’t express how much we support that quote of his! If more artists were willing to experiment with side monikers, we would probably have a whole bunch of dope new genres!
