When we first heard his single “Gone” we were instantly hooked on the lo-fi Indie sound. Day Wave is pretty much a one man band, consisting of a dude named Phillip Jackson who originates from Oakland California. For live performances he has a full band by his side, but the recording process such as the production, mixing, mastering is all done by himself. There is this element of rawness that bleeds through his music which is a refreshing take on today’s Electronic/Indie genre.
