‘United Crushers,’ the third album by Minneapolis band Polica, is out tomorrow so I’m throwin back one of my favourite songs off their first album.

Give You the Ghost came out in 2012 and its still so good today. When this album came out, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon mentioned Polica in an interview with Rolling Stone saying, “I’ve been listening to this band Polica from Minneapolis a lot lately, they’re the best band I’ve ever heard.” With a recommendation like that how could you not listen? Lay Your Cards Out was the first song I heard by them and it got me hooked right away. This track features Mike Noyce, one of the original members of Bon Iver, which is the perfect addition to an already great song.
